Creative Writing Tips

Writing for other people on a regular basis can result in that dried-up, monotmous feeling. But why? After all, writing equals creativity and creativity   equals passion,  surely?

Not necessarily. If you’re writing articles on topics you have no real interest in  on a daily basis, that 9 – 5 -have-to-write-x-amount-to-make-x-amount can become a dull routine. Creative writing becomes no more. And me being the adventurous Gemini that I am, will still perform the task, but will more often than not, find ways to re-ignite the creative flame.

Such as:

Taking a stroll in the park, observing my surroundings and absorbing every sound and  smell.

Writing something  enjoyable every day. For example, today I wrote an interesting meme, which I have yet to publish.

Releasing the child  within me.  Having a child is a great excuse for being a child again!

Immersing myself in arts and crafts projects.

After a short (or long!) burst of  time-out, I’m ready and completly recharged to start my creative writing again!
